About the Flash Users Group
The Flex/Flash User Group is a non-profit organization that provides an user forum of support and education for the Adobe Flash Platform, including Flex Builder and Flex Data Services. The Flex/Flash UG provides opportunities to learn, mentor, teach, increase skills, job exchange and network. Anyone is welcome to become a member. We meet in Salt Lake City and online on the first Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise announced.
All of our meetings are held online using Adobe Breeze. Any member can attend from anywhere in the world using their internet connection. Everyone can participate with questions and answers. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who needs an outlet to expand their personal and professional interest in Flex/Flash design and development.
Our guest presenters are superb...teaching us on all levels, from beginning to expert. We give our local business speakers the exposure they need, while giving our members the answers they need. It's a win-win for everyone.

History
Gordon Clarke started the Sierra MMUG group in late summer of 2001 in Auburn, CA. The local interest in Flash and multimedia products prompted him to establish the MMUG group to help satisfy the needs on the local level. In November 2004, the Flash Users Group was created by Gordon and Phil Heinz to provide an online forum for people in any location to participate in Flash education and development. In 2005, Gordon moved to Utah and invited Rob Huddleston to become the manager for Sierra MMUG and Phil Heinz to lead the Flash Users Group. After missing the direct user group experience and realizing the great potential of Flex in conjunction with the Flash Platform, Gordon started the Flex User Group in the Summer of 2006. In the Summer of 2007 it was decided to merge the Flex and Flash user groups with Gordon coordinating the combined endeaver. Adobe User's Groups are found throughout the world.
Our members
Our members and guests reside all over the world. Member skills range from the absolute beginner to the absolute guru. We strive to provide resources and education at all levels and on all subjects related to the the Flash Platform, and especially to Flex development and design.
So, as you can see, it doesn't matter where you live...if you have a desire to learn more, share knowledge and hear from people with like-minds, then we look forward to your participation in our monthly meetings.
